Anyone else feel like time is going uber fast? Yes? Okay, good, it's not just me! Everyone I talk to lately says the same thing, "how is it May already?!" I had good intentions of posting about our trip to Michigan and to be honest, it feels like we were there last week, but it was a month ago!
Isaac is growing up so fast! I want to capture all of these fun (and not so fun) moments so I can look back on them when he's grown up. I now know why my mom gets so nostalgic when talking my childhood. Each stage that he enters is like a whole new world opening up - sometimes it's a super fun world, sometimes it's a very scary world.
His new favorite word is "purfect". It started when we'd walk out of the house in the morning and he'd say, "mommy, it's hot!" to which I'd reply, "no honey, it's not hot today (just wait pal, it'll be 115 degrees before you know it!). Then he'd come back with, "mommy, it's cold!" Once again, I'd reply, "honey, it's not cold either. It's perfect." Then he'd look at me with a smile and say, "It's purfect". Melts my heart every time he says it! Last night, while on the phone with Fafa Jeanne in Florida, he said, "daddy is purfect". He wasn't even prompted to say it. Of course I was a little jealous that he didn't say that I was perfect. I mean, come on kid, who carries you around all the time?! :)
We are hoping to surprise him with a trip to LEGOLAND this summer! We have a big wedding we are part of, a trip home to see our new nephew and a sweet new "cousin" that is due in a few short weeks, so our summer is a bit packed, but I'm sure we can make it work. I can't wait to see his face when we get there!!!
