We, and by that I mean I, had quite a morning! It was quite funny looking back on it :)

We put the guy to bed a few minutes later last night so he would sleep a bit longer this morning. That didn't work. My main objective in doing that was so I could get a little more sleep :) I did get a smidge more sleep, but it was the fact that he got up before me, well, I knew it would be all down hill from there. I got him up and got him started on breakfast as I ran back and forth from my bathroom to the hall bathroom to get all my stuff situated so I could watch him while he was eating. I must have left him there too long b/c he got bored. So what else does a 16 month old boy do when they're bored? Rub yogurt all over themselves AND the closest wall. I knew he was getting yogurt all over himself, and I was fine with it. It was the wall that I was baffled at. So, I got him all cleaned up, face (and body) washed, clothes on, teeth brushed, hair brushed, man he was looking nice! Then I hear Numy the cat yelling his "I'm in pain" meow. I peek out into the great room and see Numy & Riley sitting next to a chewed-up plastic spoon, the spoon that Paul had thrown on the ground after he was "done" with it. Ugh, so now I have to clean up spoon gunk and make sure Riley doesn't have any in his mouth. Fun. By this point, we had to go. We were going to stop by Matt's school to show off the little guy (who was looking so handsome) to all his co-workers. I grab all our stuff and head out the door. No time to throw the wet laundry into the dryer, it had to wait till we got home so I could wash it again. In the car, I gave the little guy his "special milk". Instead of chugging it down like he did the other day, he thought it was neat to throw it around and make the milk spill everywhere. About a mile into our commute, I pulled a supermom move and reached into the backseat and grabbed it from him. But I was too late. Milk was all over him. I pulled into Matt's school parking lot and Matt met me at the car. He grabbed him from his car seat and said, "Man, he's got dry skin or something all over his hair...what's all the white stuff?" I had to explain about the milk issue we just had. So I had clean him up, which didn't work well, his shirt was soaked and his face had dried up milk all over it. Good thing he is naturally cute! Everyone loved him (how couldn't they?!). Our day turned out to be much better. He even took a 2 hour nap and got 2 stars at school today! That is a milestone in our lives :)

Hope you enjoyed a glimpse into our day :)
