I am blogging because I have to do something, otherwise I would fall asleep. And if I fell asleep now (5:30pm) I would never in a million years be able to sleep tonight. Jonny is sleeping so he can take a load out tonight, Betsy & Hailey are napping and Matt is playing "black ops" (and he pry won't sleep tonight because he'll have nightmares-haha). So I am technically alone so I figured I'd share some highlights of our trip :)
We spent Friday night with Betsy & Jon at their house just hanging out with Hailey. She is just so darn cute! Yesterday Matt & Jon hung out during the day while mom, Betsy & I went to my friends house and got our hair done. Grammie Debbie got to hold Hailey all morning and was in her glory :) She is such a good grammie! After that we dropped my mom off and my dad got to meet Hailey for the first time, yes, the first time. Who would have thought that Matt and I would meet her first, but yes, we did. Then we got ready to get to downtown GR for a night with friends. We all met at GP Sports in the Amway Grand Hotel and had a great night. Matt and I even got to walk around downtown and it brought back so many memories of working down there. Downtown Phoenix is a fun place too, but Grand Rapids is still where my heart is. We saw SNOW today. Ugh, and not just "saw" but "felt" too. I even got hit with a few snowballs--thanks Matt. We spent the afternoon at my Grandma Maggie's enjoying pizza and sharing stories.
I am looking forward to the next few days with my family :) And to all of those who came out last night...THANK YOU! We had a wonderful time and wish we had more time with each of you! :)
