Our Christmas was awesome! It was very low-key, but sometimes mellow is the way to go. I worked all day on Saturday (Christmas Eve) and it was nice to be at church all day and see people so excited for Jesus' birth. Matt came up and we got to attend service together and it was nice :) After church, we went home and skyped with Matt's parents and opened our gifts with them. The little guy was so cute opening his gifts. After he went to bed, we watched Elf and I cleaned up the house so it would look nice for Christmas morning.
I had a few cooking disasters this past weekend :/ Our Christmas Eve dinner turned out to be a bust because I forgot to buy cocktail sauce for the shrimp. I made a cheese souffle in the crock pot for Christmas morning and it turned out very badly. The cinnamon rolls were kinda funky on Christmas morning. BUT, I totally redeemed myself with the awesome apple pie/crisp I made! I had a pie crust left over from Thanksgiving, so I bought some apples and researched an oat-free apple crisp topper and it turned out to be DELICIOUS! I will definitely make it again!
