New Years!

Happy New Year! I can't believe it is 2012 already!

Eleven years ago today, I was 17 years old and had no idea that I had met my future husband the night before. Matt asked me for my phone number 11 years ago and I still more in love with him that ever.

Now it is time for the annual New Years Resolution post, but first let's look back at last years resolutions...

1. Eat healthy & exercise more.
I know, I know, everyone chooses that one and most everyone doesn't follow it through. Notice that I didn't say "lose weight" which is the #1 new years resolution every year. Of course I want to lose weight, but I'd rather live a healthy lifestyle and just lose a few L-Bs.
I feel I did an okay job at this. My weight went up and down a bit and I didn't keep as many pounds off as I would have liked, but I am okay with my progress for the year.

2. Get closer with God. At this point in my life, I feel like I am doing a good job staying connected with God, but I know that I can always dive deeper. I want to read my Bible more, participate in my church activities, bring more people to Jesus and pray more.
I feel I did a pretty good job at this! I got a great new position at work that allows me to pray with people, help people get plugged into groups and activities and generally love on people...and it's helping me grow, too.

3. Start my forever family. Okay, this one is a little bit of a stretch (maybe), but I said start, not have, so we have some wiggle room.
We got the awesomest little foster baby this year but we still do not know what the future holds for our family. While we would love to know God's plan, we are going to keep praying and stay faithful to Him and maintain our patience.

So here are this years resolutions...
1. Get toned. I would LOVE to lose 10 pounds (that's right TEN, if not more!)
2. Do more crafts. Especially fill the 2 scrapbooks that my grandma sent me for the little guy.

That's it, plain and simple! Happy New Year & good luck with your new years resolution!
