Well well well, guess who is blogging from home?! And what do you know, I have NOTHING to say! This would seriously only happen to me :) I always seem to have blog-worthy stuff floating around in my head but today, nothing. It's Murphey's Law I tell ya!
I guess I will recap the last week (sorry if it's boring!)...
My birthday was this past Thursday - the big 2-9. So it looks like I'll be soaking up the last year in my 20s. Doesn't seem like it's that big of a deal. For a week I thought I was turning 30. Then I realized, duh! I'm turning 28! Wrong again. It is apparent that my mind is already going downhill. Can't wait to see what I'm like when I'm 60. I had a great birthday actually, even if 90% of the time I have no idea how old I am. I had a great day at work with my amazing friends, then Ise and I went to see Matt coach his soccer team. Overall, great day!
The day after my birthday I went up north to a women's retreat with some friends and we had a ton of fun. I have been part of the AG church for 5 1/2 years and this was my first time being surrounded by seriously Pentecostal people. After the initial shock, I did great :) It was awesome getting so spend time with the amazing Godly women in my life. And a couple of us went shopping after and had a blast! I see frequent trips up north in my near future :) I am obsessed with the store Maurices (thanks a lot sister!) and I absolutely love their jeans.
That's all for now. One of my goals is to start blogging more. The reason, it's two-fold. 1) it helps my friends and family living far, far away stay in touch with my little family (believe it or not, I don't put every detail of my life on FB!) and 2) blogging makes me feel like a writer, even though I am very far from it!
