Another New Years Post

It's a new year already! On one hand, I feel like 2012 is just beginning, but on the other, I look back and see how much happened in 2012. I am hoping for an amazing 2013! We had Matt's dad, Beth and her family and Betsy and her family visit in early 2012. We took Isaac on his first airplane ride to Michigan and spent an awesome 10 days there. And best of all, we adopted our sweet boy! I'd say that is a pretty good year!!! 

Here's a look back at my 2012 resolutions: 

1. Get toned. I would LOVE to lose 10 pounds (that's right TEN, if not more!)

I started off 2012 roaring with this one! And at one point, I was about a pound from my goal, but as of right now, I would say that I lost a solid 5 pounds and maintained that weight the whole year. 

2. Do more crafts. Especially fill the 2 scrapbooks that my grandma sent me for the little guy.

Woah, I think I totally failed on this one. To be honest, I didn't even remember it was a resolution until right now. We made some cool Christmas crafts this year, so maybe I can call it a win. 

Even though I didn't reach either one of my resolutions, I was so happy with how the year turned out! 

Here are my 2013 resolutions: 

1. Continue to eat healthy. I am aiming low this year - I want to lose 5 pounds and keep them off. I already know I can do it, it's just hard work!!! 

2. Blog more. My number #1 reason I can't is because Google doesn't always let me log in. It's annoying, but I think I found a way around it (muahaha). Not only is blogging a great way for our families to keep up with what's going on in our world, it helps me remember things :) 

3. Get financially fit. I want to start living like no other so one day I can really live like no other. 

4. Start a Bible reading plan and get through the Bible in 2013. I have read probably 75% + but it's taken so long that it's hard to remember a lot of it. 

So that's it - pretty simple stuff. Isaac will be getting a new cousin around June and we are THRILLED! Can't wait to go to Michigan and meet the little bugger :) One of my best friends is also having a baby and I am beyond excited about it for many reasons, but number one is that she lives here! We will be able to snuggle that little bugger all the time! My sisters sister-in-law, who also happens to be the sister of my pregnant friend (yes, it's confusing!) is also having her first baby!!! Two Baby VanSpyker's due just 3 days apart! That is definitely cool!
