We started out the new year by getting Isaac a new pediatrician. I was not a happy camper when we learned that we would lose our amazing pediatricians office when Ise got his new insurance. I actually almost cried. It was the only doctors office that Isaac has ever been to - our first visit was when he was 6 days old. It was the doctor that our sweet Pauly went to as well.

When I learned that they did not accept Ise's new health plan, I started looked for a DO (not a huge fan of MD's) around where we live. I thought that the only good thing about getting a new doctor would be that we wouldn't have to travel so far. We found our new pediatrician and she is only a few miles from our house - and we love her!!! I was not impressed at first and had to hold back tears for the first half of the visit. Then we got to meet her and she really focused on ISAAC. I'm sure that sounds silly, but a lot of the time, people are focused on our situation - when the adoption will be final, does he see his bio family, blah blah blah. This lady didn't really care too much about all that, she was focused on the amount of ear infections he's had, his heart issue (which we never he even had!) and his gastrointestinal issues. We were referred to an ENT, she tackled the issue of him "never pooping" and she assured us that he should grow out of his heart issue. We were at the other doctor for 20 months and never once were any of these issues brought up.

With what started as a scary new adventure of switching doctors turned out great and our sweet boys health will be much better!!! So if you need a pediatrician in the Surprise area, I'd be happy to give you her info :)
