My last post sparked a lot of my friends to ask me if I'm insane - getting a shot of who-knows-what from Dr. Evil?! And yes, insane might be a good description of me. Since the beginning of January I have felt completely exhausted. Maybe it's the weather? Maybe it's this awful bug going around? Who knows, but I was about ready to try almost anything to feel better (clearly!). After the debacle of getting my B12 injection, I was completely worn out for 2 weeks! I have never been so worn out for such an extended period of time! Yesterday was the first day in almost 6 weeks that I felt normal. And today was even better - I was pretty much back to my normal, high energy self. I hope I never get that run down again.
On a good note - Groupon (who is AMAZING!) refunded the unused portion of my money back to my account. I knew that I could not go back to that scary place and get another shot of whatever that was! I went to the store and got some B6 pills to take with my B12 dissolvable pills, so if I need the energy, I can take them. So far, I am not loving how I feel right away after taking the B6, but as the day goes on, I feel energized and not as hungry as I normally would. And as a huge bonus, it is supposed to help aide the affects of PMS. That in itself is amazing!
Another business that is amazing is Progressive Insurance. We've had them for 6 years now (since we moved to Arizona) and they have been a stellar company to work with. We've had 2 accidents and they were fantastic with both of them. Recently I've been hearing people talk about their insurance companies replacing their carseats after a crash. Say what?! Someone rear-ended me when I had my 5 month old in the car and no one offered me a replacement carseat! I was ticked! So I called Progressive this week and they were so great! They told me to go buy a new one, bring in the receipt along with the old carseat and they would reimburse me. Now we have the friggen Escalade of carseats :) We knew we had to get one soon because we have decided to start fostering again. Eeeekk! I still can't imagine have to take care of 2 children...at the same time. But I see other people doing it, so I figure I can too. We'll see.
You can do it! You are supermom!
