She grew up on a side of the road/Where the church bells ring and strong love grows/She grew up good/She grew up slow/Like American honey/
Steady as a preacher/Free as a weed/Couldn't wait to get goin'/But wasn't quite ready to leave/ So innocent, pure and sweet American honey/
There's a wild, wild whisper/Blowing in the wind/Calling out my name like a long lost friend/Oh I miss those days as the years go by/Oh nothing's sweeter than summer time/And American honey

Everytime I hear this song, I think back on my life. I think of summer days when I was careless. I think of living in the country and breathing in the fresh country air. I think of running on summer nights. I think of taking walks with my mom down the dirt road across from our house. So many awesome memories. I can't wait to get back to that. Living in the city has its perks but it's not for me. I love being close to stores, restaurants and banks, but nothing beats being in the fresh country air soaking it up. Maybe someday I'll live there again :) I've come to learn not to plan my life and let God be my GPS. As for now, I'll just sit back and enjoy the ride...and sing along.
